What is Vietnam business visa?
Vietnam business visa (currently categorized as DN1 and DN2 visa, but formerly known as
DN visa) is granted to those entering Vietnam for business purposes, of which:
- DN1 visa – to be granted to foreigners
who work with other businesses and organizations with legal status in accordance with the laws of
Vietnam. - DN2 visa – to be granted to foreigners
who come to Vietnam to offer services, establish a commercial presence or perform other activities under
international treaties to which Vietnam is a member.
Vietnam business visa requirements
In order to get the business visa for Vietnam, the applicants, first of all, need to
secure the following requirements:
- You have a sponsor company in Vietnam
which provides you the sponsorship letter. - Your passport should be valid for at
least 6 months following your arrival date (Neither temporary passport nor travel document is
accepted). - Your passport has at least 02 blank
pages for business visa and immigration stamps
Types of Business Visa for Vietnam
You can apply for the following types of Vietnamese business visa which are categorized
based on validity (length of stay) and the number of entries:
- 1 month single entry visa;
- 1 month multiple entry visa;
- 3 months single entry visa;
- 3 months multiple entry visa;
- 6 months multiple entry visa;
and - 1 year multiple entry visa.
How to Get a Business Visa for Vietnam?
At the moment, there are 02 ways to get a business visa for Vietnam, consisting
of
- getting at the Vietnam Embassy
- getting upon arrival at Vietnam
airport.
Each way will go through 3 steps as follows:
1. Getting business visa at Vietnam embassy
Step 1: Your sponsor company shall prepare the following documents:
- Form NA16 – Registration of seal and
signature samples (for the first time) - Certified copy of the Business
Registration Certificate - Form NA2
- And other documents (if any)
Step 2: Your sponsor company in Vietnam shall submit all the documents to the Vietnam
Immigration Department offices.
Step 3: Your sponsor company in Vietnam shall get the approval letter from the Vietnam
Immigration Department and send it to you. Also, the Vietnam Immigration Department will send the embassy/consulate
of Vietnam in your country about your Vietnam entry and visa.
Step 4: You then get the business visa stamp at the local embassy/consulate of Vietnam
by presenting the following documents:
- Your original passport
- Application for visa, temporary
residence extension - Approval letter of the Immigration
Department - Flight ticket booking, hotel booking
(if required).
2. Getting business visa on arrival
Step 1: Your sponsor company shall prepare the following documents:
- Form NA16 – Registration of seal and
signature samples (for the first time) - Certified copy of the Business
Registration Certificate - Form NA2
- And other documents (if any)
Step 2: Your sponsor company in Vietnam shall submit all the documents to the Vietnam
Immigration Department offices.
Step 3: Your sponsor company in Vietnam shall get the approval letter from the Vietnam
Immigration Department and fax/email it to you.
Step 4: You then get the business visa stamp at Vietnam airport upon arrival by
presenting the following documents:
- Your original passport
- Vietnamese visa application form
- Approval letter of the Immigration
Department - 02 passport-sized photos
